Yes, it’s time for the summer schedule, so some shows are heading out, some are brand new. Here’s the run-down:

• Monday sees the addition of two new shows, EPIC! and Do You Know Jack?, and we’ll be airing random repeats of Ultra Ska Robot Attack until it returns in the fall.EPIC! features discussions of great moments in science and technology, with news of the day and a bit of must-know education. The first episode tackled scams from the 419 to phishing. Tune in for new episodes after the news on Mondays at 5pm, and repeated on Friday mornings at 11:30am.

  Do You Know Jack? includes some of the best music you’ve never heard of, delivered from the other side of Canada. Join the founder of the Jack Antonio Project every Monday night at 10pm.

• Tuesday has two new programs on the schedule, Para-phrasing with PROF and Loose Grooves.Para-phrasing with PROF will have discussions of all things paranormal, from ghost hauntings to psychic phenomena. This show is hosted by members of PROF, the Paranoramal Researchers of Fredericton, who were also integral to the Strange Encounters special. The show hasn’t launched yet, but should start in the next two weeks. Look for it at 7pm on Tuesday nights.

  Local musician Proffessor Undressor brings us the brand-new documentary music series Loose Grooves every Tuesday night at 9:30pm. Tune in to hear the good proffessor tell us where reggae, ska and related genres come from, with interviews and fantastic musical examples.

• Thursday night brings us a new show starting soon and a broadcast of a series originally designed for the BBC.East Coast Stream will be hosted by our very own Station Manager, Tim Rayne, and his wife Nathalie. Look forward to hearing about the great wealth of music produced right here in the Maritimes every Thursday afternoon at 4pm.

  And tune in at 11:30pm every Thursday and Sunday night and 8:30pm on Friday for The Tone Generation, which traces the origins of electronic music from the early pioneers to the modern state-of-the-avant-garde.

• Friday nights will add the !earshot 20 syndicated show, counting down the 20 best songs and artists played on campus and community radio stations throughout Canada this week. !earshot 20 runs every Friday night at 7pm.
• Saturday night expands Sherwin Sleeves show from one hour to two hours, to better accommodate his random-length episodes of Atoms, Motion and the Void every Saturday at 6pm. Immediately following that we have Drum ‘n’ Dub, two hours of solid music with special guests starting at 8pm. And topping off the evening is Catnap with DJ Feline at 10pm. Tune in for the spins!
• Sunday sees the new time for The Sonic Society at 6pm. Tune in for this world-spanning audio drama roundup produced in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The deep thoughts continue in a different direction with the new show Your Weekly Phil, where Jordan from Drum ‘n’ Dub takes a look at contemporary philosophical thought, with an aim to convince everyone that philosophy isn’t just important — it’s essential.
