\"LunchBox-CWSF\"<\/a>Science is one of the coolest things you can do.<\/p>\n

Sure: it takes hard work, it takes study, it takes smarts.<\/p>\n

But since when did really cool things come easy?<\/p>\n

Right now, almost 500 students from grades 7 through 12 have come to Fredericton to show us the cool science they’ve been working on. The Canada-Wide Science Fair<\/strong><\/a> has come to the city for the first time in it’s 55 years, and it’s a great show! It’s a great opportunity to learn a bit about the science that is possible and to inspire others to get involved.<\/p>\n

My guest today is Brad McCabe<\/strong>, the Executive Director of Youth Science Canada<\/strong><\/a>. He’s one of the organizers of the Canada-Wide Science Fair<\/strong><\/a> (along with a legion of thousands of volunteers across the country) who’ve been working to bring this science fair here — in some cases, people working up to three years! We talk about the inspiration that these students bring, the level of science that they perform, and remind you all that the public is invited to see these displays and attend the talks.<\/p>\n

Public viewing for the displays is Thursday afternoon to evening from 1pm to 8pm<\/strong>, and Friday<\/strong> and Saturday morning<\/strong> from 9am to noon<\/strong>. Don’t miss your chance!<\/p>\n
