But one thing kept going through my mind: how would I be able to evaluate these projects?<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, my guest today is <strong>Frank Collins<\/strong>, the Assistant Dean of Engineering at UNB Fredericton and one of the people chosen to judge the science projects presented at the fair. We talk about the breadth and depth of the projects, the very impressive work done by students, and how important it is for kids to participate in things like this (and how important it is for the rest of us &#8212; and the rest of the world! &#8212; to acknowledge and support them).<\/p>\n<p>Music today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The passing of blues guitar legend <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbking.com\/\"><strong>B. B. King<\/strong><\/a> could not pass without notice, so I picked <em>How Blue Can You Get?<\/em> from a 1999 CD release of a 1971 concert of <strong>B. B.
