Slender Man<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/em>is a fictional paranormal \"\"character that began as a creepypasta<\/em><\/a>\u00a0internet meme created by Something Awful<\/a> forums user Eric Knudsen<\/a> in 2009.\u00a0It was a Photoshop\u00a0contest\u00a0that\u00a0asked people to turn ordinary photographs into creepy-looking images.<\/p>\n

Yet, two pre-teens blame Slender Man for stabbing a classmate 19 times<\/a>, claiming that Slender Man would kill their family if they didn’t carry out this deed.<\/p>\n

Did these two girls actually think Slender Man spoke to them? Was the idea of Slender Man just used as a scapegoat?<\/p>\n
