I urge you to go &#8212; and wear a mask, and protest against the foolhardiness that puts minimal personal comfort over maximal public safety and health.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why wear a seatbelt? Aren\u2019t casts terribly inconvenient? Why have an emergency exit? We\u2019ve been lucky, we\u2019ve been diligent, we\u2019ve taken precautions &#8212; and yet there are outbreaks, due to human error or bad luck. The virus isn\u2019t even half-way done with the world yet. Have patience &#8212; or become the next patients. Be careful &#8212; or you become careless. Take a little discomfort to prevent discomfort, illness, permanent damage or even death. No one likes wearing masks, but by wearing them now, you won\u2019t be wearing them forever.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wishing the virus away doesn\u2019t work. Wearing masks, the very least you can do to save everyone else, helps. Not gathering in groups, being aware of your own symptoms, supporting the organizations and researchers and health professionals and leaders who are working to find a vaccine and find therapeutic treatments, that\u2019s what you can do.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But protesting about being uncomfortable supporting even the least you can do? You look childish and selfish. You look manipulated and unfeeling. You look vulnerable and ignorant.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hide all that &#8212; with a mask.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Today, we enjoy my chat yesterday with members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/fibreartsnetwork\/\"><strong>Fibre Arts Network (FAN)<\/strong><\/a> who have been in residence at Odell Park this past two weeks. <strong>Jackie<\/strong> has been working on embroidery (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/jacquelinebourquefibre\/\">see her Instagram page<\/a><\/strong>);\u00a0<strong>Caroline<\/strong> is a (rug) hooker (<a href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/carolinesimpsonrughooking\"><strong>see her Instagram page<\/strong><\/a>); <strong>Karen<\/strong> is a weaver (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Loominations\/\"><strong>see her Facebook page<\/strong><\/a>); and <strong>Renata<\/strong> is working on textile design (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rebritezdesigns.com\/\"><strong>see her website<\/strong><\/a>).
