Joining a national cross-country counter-protest, Fredericton\u2019s 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies gathered to fight against policies and rhetoric they deem hateful and dangerous to the province’s youth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over 80 Frederictonians gathered in front of the NB Legislature on Friday in support of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and to counter a movement called 1 Million March For Kids, a movement seeking to eliminate sexual orientation and gender identity curriculum and policies from Canadian schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

The gathering was organized in unison with three other counter-demonstrations across the province and 35 total across the country. Where those impacted spoke out and shared their stories.<\/span><\/p>\n
