We’re thrilled to be able to coordinate an opportunity for local performers to get stage time, mentorship and support.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

My guests today are Nate Murchison<\/strong> and Paul Hayes <\/strong>of local band Nate & The Busy Boys<\/strong>, and Katie Hamill<\/strong>, a CHSR staff member working on organizing local events. They join me to talk about the origins and enthusiasm of Nate & The Busy Boys<\/strong>, as well as the upcoming Setting The Stage<\/strong><\/em> concert and mentorship opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting The Stage<\/a><\/em><\/strong> takes place on February 27<\/strong> at The Cap<\/strong>, with doors open by 6:30pm and the show to start at 7pm. It features performance by Nate & The Busy Boys<\/strong>, OLiwu7<\/strong>, and Katie Murchison<\/strong>, the latter of which also benefitted from a mentorship and support program. The program and concert were funded through RBC and were created in conjunction with the The Canadian Live Music Association.<\/p>\n
