I decided to do a show on privilege, because if I\u2019m going to do a show on all these sociological, political and cultural issues, I think it\u2019s important to do an episode acknowledging my privilege, and setting the stage for all our following episodes.<\/p>\n

I apologize for sounding nervous on this one, but it\u2019s my first show, so please cut me some slack, I\u2019ve already completed the second episode, and I hear that I sound much more comfortable. So, with that said\u2026<\/p>\n

Welcome to the Truth to Power Hour. We\u2019re going to talk about real issues in an honest way. My name it Joel Green, I\u2019m an old man, new on Campus, learning awesome things, and am looking to share it with you.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re going to talk about issues of today, and play music that relates\u2026 somehow.<\/p>\n

So, on this episode, I\u2019m acknowledging my privilege. So that from this point on, when we\u2019re talking about issues that include the patriarchy, racism, homophobia, whatever, we can acknowledge that anything I say is from the perspective of a Gen X, Straight, White Man.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m about to turn 50, just left the military after 20 years, and am back in school, and now I have this radio show.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s learn together. It\u2019ll be awesome.<\/p>\n
