When I have time, I tag &#8216;Fredericton&#8217; on bandcamp and discover music for my Instant Breakfast and East Coast Stream shows on CHSR. Most of the time I have no idea who these people are, nor do I know anything about them other than their obvious passion for music. I like it that way. I have no preconceived notions or judgements of these people. I just respect the fact that they make music and share it with the masses. I am not scenester, hipster, or elitist \u2013 I just love music.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time that I have heard Karver Hitchcock&#8217;s music. In fact, I have played music off his previous releases on my show that I also discovered on bandcamp. There is an obvious deep Floyd connection to the musical style and that is not a bad thing. He has a mellower vibe and his music is void of pretension. Hitchcock does all the instrumentation on the recording and is able to pull off a singular musical vision that compliments the deceivingly simple arrangements. The Fading Glow is the title of the release, which is an apply named considering its transient nature \u2013 the songs are short fleeting moments of time and space. With that being said, there is still a strong pop sensibility to the recordings that are catching and hooky.
