\"LunchBox-300x300-stephenhero\"<\/a>Music is open to all — or at least, that’s how we see it these days. It wasn’t always the case in hiphop, but rappers like Eminem inspired a generation to say “that’s like me, I can do that”, just like the original hiphop itself widened the world of so many young men and women.<\/p>\n

One of these inspired young men is working on a project called Stephen Hero<\/strong>. It’s working class hiphop, but not reduced in flow, spirit or energy. He sat down with Tim & I to talk about his inspirations for hiphop, the Stephen Hero project, and about surprising music from Columbia House or his dad’s compilation obsession.<\/p>\n

Stephen Hero is currently working on his first EP — two of the songs featured in this episode are previews from that EP — and will be having a video debut on FrederictonLocals.com<\/a> on Monday, as well as a show next Thursday night at the Capital in Fredericton<\/a>.
