Studio B is whats new right now- a 100% digital recording studio that we put together out of “spare parts” in-between exams and classes. This is a PC-based studio utilizing Adobe Audition.
Studio B currently has 2 microphones, two turntables (33/45/78 RPM) and two CD players. It is set up to closely resemble the Master Control Room (Studio A) in all ways possible. It can be used for podcasting, pre-recorded shows, news, interviews, and guest spots on-air. It will also function as a backup to Studio A (the Master Control Room)
As always, Studio C (also known as PCR) is also available. It is a digital recording studio based on the Apple MAC platform, and can utilize ProTools, Audacity, Garage Band and other programmes. It is available for recording of any type, as always.
One of the reasons that this is so exciting is that we have so much activity going on in the station we are actually backed up for time in the recording studio- because we were able to create this additional studio with no new parts we will be able to have added flexibility in our day-to-day operations.
