Art, one might suggest, is about\u00a0chaos<\/em>, but business is about\u00a0order<\/em>.<\/p>\n

But the world is made up of both parts, and sometimes it’s necessary to mix them.<\/p>\n

My guests today are Gary Belding<\/strong> (independent accountant\/consultant) and Joss Richer<\/strong> (ArtsNB<\/a>). They have a new workshop coming up Wednesday, 4 February 2015 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre<\/a>. The workshop is aimed at members of the arts community who need to learn more about treating their work like a business, and how to file and claim taxes. We talked about the need to take it seriously, and the kinds of things that will be discussed in the workshop.<\/p>\n
