The festival happens this weekend, and while a large part of the event is providing performers with the extra information and presentation that they need, there&#8217;s also a pair of great concerts you can go to and enjoy! My guest today is a local musician and one of the organizers for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/newbrunswickmusiciansemerge\/\"><strong>Fest Forward<\/strong><\/a>, Penelope. We chat about the background and goal of Fest Forward, the transformation necessary to emerge as working performers, and about the sessions associated with the festival.<\/p>\n<p>Music today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One of the great bands that played for our fundraiser Shake&#8217;n&#8217;Bake on the weekend was <a href=\"https:\/\/beforethewarcomes.bandcamp.com\/\"><strong>Before the War<\/strong><\/a>. They played this wonderful song, <em>Doom<\/em>, which you can find on the awesome compilation <a href=\"https:\/\/itsalwayssunnyinnewbrunswick.bandcamp.com\/releases\"><strong>It&#8217;s Always Sunny In New Brunswick<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>To give you a taste of what&#8217;s to come at Fest Forward, we played <strong>Jon McKiel<\/strong>&#8216;s <em>I Know<\/em>, from his <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/jonmckiel.bandcamp.com\/album\/jon-mckiel\">self-titled release<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>And to wrap up the hour we heard <em>All You Sons and Daughters<\/em> by <a href=\"http:\/\/ads.warnermusiccanada.com\/matthewgood\/\"><strong>Matthew Good<\/strong><\/a>, from his latest release <strong>Chaotic Neutral<\/strong>.
