During the summer, the Fredericton Arts Alliance<\/strong><\/a> brings a pair of artists together in the Barracks to practice their art for all to see. These artists come from a wide variety of disciplines, from painting and sculpture to basket-weaving and writing. As each pair of artists comes in, we’ll be talking to them on the Lunchbox.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

My guest today is Allison Green<\/strong><\/a>, a textile sculptor who looks to merge the living world and the stone structure. She is currently an artist-in-residence at the Barracks, creating “silk paintings”, a combination of painting and sewing. She talks about her explorations in combining elements of nature with sculpture and encouraging people to touch her art.<\/p>\n
