Good news! You can celebrate\u00a0<strong>International Sushi Day<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It was also\u00a0<strong>International Panic Day<\/strong>, but with everything that&#8217;s\u00a0<em>already<\/em> going on, we can probably skip that one and focus on being more calm.<\/li>\n<li><em>Do you remember what time of year it is?<\/em> You can be forgiven for forgetting, but normally around now we&#8217;d be considering some wonderful gatherings like the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cefnb.ca\"><strong>Cultural Expressions Festival<\/strong>.<\/a> Well, good news: they have gone online with the festival, and are extended from\u00a0<strong>June 18 to July 1<\/strong>. I sat down with <strong>Gerry Brom<\/strong>\u00a0of the CEF in 2017 to talk about the festival. In that year, they were aligning with the Canada 150 celebrations, and decided to celebrate all cultures together. Normally, they choose a specific culture to highlight, and for 2020 they have chosen <a href=\"http:\/\/latinfreddy.ca\"><strong>Latin American culture<\/strong><\/a>. So, join in, celebrate the multicultural diversity our country has. <a href=\"http:\/\/cefnb.ca\"><strong>Visit their website for more information.<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/solochickenproductions.com\"><strong>Solo Chicken Productions<\/strong><\/a> has a track record of supporting diverse theatre, and I revisited my interview with <strong>Lisa Ann Ross<\/strong> about <em>A Record of Us<\/em> in 2016.\u00a0This year, SCP is once again supporting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/947937189001702\/\"><strong>Plain Site Theatre Festival<\/strong><\/a>. The festival&#8217;s final form is likely to be digital this year, but they are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/947937189001702\/\">accepting submissions immediately for LGBTQIA2+ plays <\/a>to produce as readings and discuss in workshops this fall, and be full productions in 2021.
