Artists seem to love challenging themselves to doing something different — even stepping inside someone else’s shoes.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

My guests are Ralph Simpson<\/a> <\/strong>(master basket-maker) and Liz Demerson<\/a><\/strong> (ceramicist), two of the artists in residence for this summer’s Fredericton Arts Alliance<\/a> program. I met them at the Barracks, where they were busy working on new things — in particular, doing each other<\/em>‘s form of art, although “plants” still shone through as a consistent element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can see work from many of the artists who participated in this years residency on October 1 at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre<\/strong> from 5pm-7pm for the opening of the Residency<\/em><\/strong> <\/a>exhibit.<\/p>\n
