But part of having fun is being safe, because while it can be a bit awkward to wear a life jacket or personal floatation device (PFD) the first time, it&#8217;s more tragic to lose someone in an accident.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emily<\/strong>, <strong>Danielle<\/strong> and <strong>Danika<\/strong> dropped by to tell us about the <span class=\"removed_link\" title=\"http:\/\/www.redcross.ca\/where-we-work\/in-canada\/new-brunswick\/nb-specific-programs\/pfd-life-jacket-loan-program\">PFD Loan Program<\/span>, a joint program between <a title=\"The Canadian Red Cross\" href=\"http:\/\/www.redcross.ca\/\">The Red Cross<\/a> and <a title=\"Transport Canada\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tc.gc.ca\/eng\/menu.htm\">Transport Canada<\/a> aimed at promoting water safety by letting people borrow a safety device for their activities.
