Art of all kinds can be inspiring, exciting and rewarding. Everyone should find the art that resonates with their own creative spirit.
My guests today are Ysabelle Vautour and Cass Maz, two of the artists in residence in the Barracks Casemates this summer. Ysabelle is well known for being a visual artist, swing dancer and the founder of the NB Disability Art Collective. Cass has been attracted to art for most of her life and is a multidisciplinary artist, but found painting as therapeutic and accessible following a stroke. Both of them have plenty of their visual art on display in the residency this year, but join me to also talk about their mutual interest in improv and comedy, and their explorations of dance and movement arts.
