There’s something about Scotland and it’s people that just has to be admired.
Their culture is rich, and their people have changed history. The influence of Scotland can be seen around the world — sometimes in the most unusual of places, finding kilts and bagpipes as honorific presentations where none would be expected.

For 33 years, the New Brunswick Highland Games and Scottish Festival has celebrated these incredible people and their legacy within Canada and the Maritimes. And for an on-and-off dozen or so years, CHSR has been proud to be right there, celebrating with them live on location!
We return to the grounds of Government House again this year as the Scots take over our airwaves for the weekend to produce Highland Radio!
We’ll be live on-site on Saturday and Sunday, starting at approximately 9am and running until 5pm each day. We’ll feature plenty of Scottish music, to be sure, but we’ll also bring you live interviews with bands, presenters, historians, Scots, heavy lifting athletes and light footed dancers, and of course visitors like yourself!
Come celebrate Scotland with us! Highland Radio airs live from the Highland Games and Scottish Festival on Saturday and Sunday, July 26 & 27, from 9am until 5pm.
So, if you find yourself down on the grounds this coming weekend, surrounded by an instance of Scotland, drop by our big blue tarp and say hi! We’ll have Scottish CHSR buttons to give away this weekend. And if you’re staying home, even for a little while, tune in to 97.9 FM in Fredericton to hear us talk Scots!
