Master Chief is back for another adventure in the Halo series; with some new additions to his arsenal but is it all good? Let’s find out.
Story: Master Chief goes AWOL (absent without leave) away from Spartan Locke to find Cortana. Now you control two squads in this game Master Chief and his blue team. Now this threw me off a bit because Master Chief has always been a lone wolf when it comes to the Halo franchise. Spartan Locke which is accompanied by Fire team Osiris who are sent out to bring back Master Chief.
Game Play: For some Reason this recent installment of Halo seems to be a bit different in a good way to me. Instead of you fighting alone you have a party of soldiers you can command. I love being able to tell my soldiers to focus on the biggest enemy on the map while I take care of the smaller enemies. The team definitely comes in handy in this game because if you get injured you can call your team over to help you which happened to me a lot in this game. The battles in this game are really and intense and sometimes really hard especially from mission 13 to the end of the game I died countless times during these 2 missions; I only played the game on Normal difficulty I could not imagine playing it on the hardest difficulty. This game offers plenty of variety when it comes to guns because just about in every battle you have you run out of ammo and you must pick up an enemies weapon or else you will get obliterated.
Conclusion: Halo 5 is a great first person shooter experience with some new additions which made some things easier in the game like the gun battles. When you are in combat you feel like you are actually in a war with all that’s going on and all the bullets flying at you which get’s your adrenaline pumping. The Story in this game is a little bit Cliché and underwhelming. None the less the gameplay was a lot of fun.
Score: 8.5/10
Good Job 343 and Microsoft Studios.
