Fire Emblem Fates
The next installment, and a very unique one at that, having 3 different versions for one game but keeping their classic top down strategy will make fans of the series, either long time or new comers, very happy with their purchase.
Story: You play as a Prince, starting off in a secluded fortress training with one of your older brothers. You are asked to run a mission which lets you meet up with your birth family and learn that you were kidnapped, afterwards you run into the “big decision” where you are to decide whether you will defend Hoshido with your birth family or will you side with the family who raised and cared for you since you were child. No matter the choice the story will be different and by the end you will question if you really did the right thing.
Gameplay: Fire Emblem has always been known for amazing top down strategy gameplay. This entry is no exception, with the addition to the ranged weapon triangle it might take a little to get used to new weapons aswell as the debuffs caused by kunai and knifes and shurikens. Now, the big difference is that Birthright is the easier version and will allow training with extra challenge missions to get your units and see them grow to a point you want them and allow them to reach a point you want them. Conquest on the other hand is much tougher and has no challenge missions so you are limited on your money and experience points. Every encounter counts, leaving you to use each unit at their absolute maximum.
In Conclusion: Fire Emblem Fates is an entry in the series that people will enjoy for a long time. I definitely recommend trying this game out, even if you decide to only buy one version of the game I think it will be likely that you will enjoy it and might even find new challenges with the upcoming DLC (Down Loadable Content).
HAPPY GAMING 😀
