Canada’s Men’s National Soccer Team recently finished on top of the 2024 CONCACAF Nations League standings through the quarter-final round, achieving their highest world ranking in the country’s history at 31st.
The team has continued to roll under new head coach Jesse Marsch, beating Suriname 1-0 on the road on November 15th and 3-0 on November 19th at home in Toronto.
Part of Marsch’s staff resides right here in Fredericton in video/performance analyst Joe Hamilton who was contacted by the team after they had a late staff pullout and urgently needed to fill the video/performance analyst role prior to the 2021 Gold Cup.
Hamilton has held the role ever since, including through Canada’s successful world cup qualifying, the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the most recent Copa America.
Have a listen to hear more about Hamilton’s story.
