Fredericton’s Garrison Night Market has become a staple during summers in the city, packing the streets on Thursday nights for locals to browse and support local vendors and artisans.
In a recent report from the market and city, that foot traffic left a small environmental footprint during its 2024 season, diverting a total of two tons of cardboard from the city’s landfill. A result of the recycling program the market has been implementing over its last two seasons and encouraging market-goers to shop with more re-useable materials.
