Local singer-songwriter Kylie Fox recently released her new studio album Sequoia as a part of Harvest Music Festival. Bringing her new songs to life, while also paying tribute to the voice that has inspired her the most.
First, she stepped into the shoes of her idol Joni Mitchell, performing her 1974 album Court & Spark from front to back to celebrate the record’s 50th anniversary. Then performed songs from her second studio album Sequoia, which was released the same day, bringing it to her audience’s ears for the first time.
Johnny James sat down with her to dive into Joni Mitchell’s influence, making an album with a new band, the imagery and inspiration of Sequoia and getting to experience the first reactions from her supporters in person.
