Too often, history seems to be presented in terms of dates, places and facts, rather than in terms of people and culture.
My guest today is Sylvia D. Hamilton, a filmmaker, poet and writer whose work highlights, exposes and solidifies the history of African people in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and elsewhere. Her exhibit, Excavation: Memory Work, is currently on displays at the UNB Art Centre, featuring elements discovered among the archives and artifacts of Kings Landing.
