One of the most exciting crops to be harvested each late summer is new performances of new plays.

My guests today are all participants in this year’s NotaBle Acts Theatre Festival: Len Falkenstein (festival organizer; director); Alex McAllister (playwright: “Gargoyles”, “Animate Objects”; director: “Predormital”; actor), Cassandra Bullett (actor: Soda Noir), Mimi Martin (actor: Soda Noir). They join me to talk about how these plays developed, and what to look forward to.
The NotaBle Acts Theatre Festival runs from July 24-August 3 in various locations in Fredericton, including Memorial Hall at UNB campus and outside the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and a few other locations downtown. Soda Noir is part of the Taking It To The Streets series playing on Monday, July 29 through Wednesday, July 31 at 7:30pm starting at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery courtyard, to be immediately followed by Street Scenes at 8:30pm starting at the Southeast corner of Church and King Streets, which includes Gargoyles. Predormital is part of the Acting Out series playing from August 1 to August 3 at 7:30pm nightly at Memorial Hall. Animate Objects is part of the Play Out Loud series playing on Saturday, August 3 at 2pm at Memorial Hall.
