COVID-19 update:

  • The province announced no new cases of COVID-19 yesterday afternoon, leaving the total number of cases at 117. 
  • 80 people have recovered from the virus. 
  • Dr. Jennifer Russell urges New Brunswickers to stay home, even if the case numbers are low. 
  • Premier Higgs said his government knew about the province’s 6400 contaminated test kits from China last week. 
  • Prime Minister Trudeau has expanded the requirements for the CEBA. 
  • Post Secondary support and commercial rent support is expected in the coming days. 
  • Dr. Theresa Tam said Canadians need to double down to stop further isolated outbreaks, especially after the “staycation for the nation.”
