There are a lot of wonderful agencies that want to help people going through trauma associated with violence. But how well do they work together?
My guests today are Denise Billings and Pamela Young. They are working on a project at the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Foundation to help multiple service providers related to trauma specifically with people with disabilities find ways to work and talk together, and to help them be aware of each other. We talk about the need they are addressing, some of the factors which complicate matters (such as intersectionality and prejudice) and the upcoming week of presentations for Crime Week.
