How often do you reflect on how you’ve acted around people? How often have you realized you might just be “that guy” to “some girls”?
My guests today are Travis Flynn, Kayla-Renee Ossachuk and Brennan Garnett, three members of the cast and crew of the upcoming Theatre UNB production of Neil LaBute’s play, Some Girl(s). Travis plays the lead “Guy”, Kayla portrays one of the girls from that guy’s past whom he confronts (and is confronted by), and Brennan is co-directing the play. They join me to share how this play challenged them, from latent but all-too-common shallow attitudes, interrupting or drifting dialogue, and how we treat each other thoughtlessly.
Some Girl(s) opens Thursday, February 20 at 7:30pm at Memorial Hall at UNB, and runs nightly through Saturday.
