The solid oppression of winter can only end when the land becomes flooded with light — and if we willingly give ourselves over to that light. But sometimes, things prevent us from accepting it, until we find ourselves stranded.
Or perhaps we need only bow our heads to greater fate, and motivate our bones toward the glowing ember of hope..
