Python’s Paradise is one of the more informative radio shows devoted primarily to films and some of the often overlooked players involved in them. Granted, host Gregory Gilbert is still very much honing his craft, but he is beginning to ‘come into his own,’ so to speak, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he were to eventually transcend the context of CHSR and gain broader attention from a niche-oriented demographic interested in the somewhat esoteric and unabashedly cultish particulars of ‘genre’ cinema.
Thank you John for your kind words and encouragement. I do hope to transcend the context of CHSR and gain broader attention. I just left New Brunswick for the first time in my 45 years for Horror-Rama in Toronto and had the honor of connecting with guests I interviewed as well as give out plenty of business cards to those within the industry whom my listeners will insist I reach out to. I am approaching my 200th interview and it is overwhelming that I have conducted 120 of those interviews this year alone. I work hard and hope it pays off. I love CHSR fm and would like to see New Brunswick heighten in its tourism, particularly in getting back to higher quality Canadian films shot here. I am also hoping to return to Toronto again in the near future and perhaps make my presence known at other conventions. I appreciate everyone who listens. Check out and subscribe to my YouTube channel “Python’s Paradise” under “Greg Gilbert” where I upload an interview every five days. Thank you!
