Saint John, New Brunswick’s Elephant Skeletons‘ new EP Zazzerzaz Vol II is self described as sounding “like a crew of gypsy rockers threw a disco dance marathon” by the man behind the project Clifford J. Doucette. As a musician in psychedelic power folk band Wet Grow Light, Elephant Skeletons took some of that gypsy/world sound and added it into their electronic dance beats creating a driving energy that is incredibly interesting to listen to and keeps your body moving at all times. Mix some ethnic vibes with minimal industrial and some early Daft Punk and that is exactly the enigmatic sound Elephant Skeletons delivers. They are the future of East Coast electronic music.
