The 2nd annual CHSR Battle of the Bands drew a bill of 18 bands and a packed house to the 7 hour show. The scene was chaotic and loud, and the music boomed long into the night.
After the dust settled three bands emerged with sheepish grins and some prizes:
283 – won first place and 30 hours of recording time at Outreach Productions.
das Radio – won second place and free consultation time with Waye Mason of No Records.
Ira Vagina and The Rainy Day Women – won third place and music equipment from Tony’s Music Box and Yamaha Canada.
Recorded live at the Chestnut, Fredericton NB – February 17, 2001
Live sound by Iain MacDonald/Outreach Productions and Nik Leslie/CHSR
Post production @ CHSR by Nik Leslie and Scott Kitchen
