Bethesdas Skyrim and Fallout 4 will be getting mod support after all, but will be limited. Bethesdas website statement also adds and states the following, “that both games will receive PlayStation 4 Pro enhancements as well. Skyrim Special Edition will run in native 4K on the upgraded system (screenshots below), while Fallout 4 will boast better lighting and graphics features.”
This is definitely a surprise because last month it was announced that there would be no mod support for these titles on the PS4 due to issues with sony. This was the quote from Bethesda last month
“After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition,”
Mod support will be available first on Skyrim special edition then Fallout 4 on the PlayStation 4. Skyrim special edition is releasing on October 28th when everything runs smoothly, Bethesda will then focus their attention on Fallout 4.
