Human rights is a big issue for Canadians, especially after the Barrister’s Society of Nova Scotia made a decision banning law graduates from Trinity Western University in British Columbia from articling in the province because of a covenant signed by Trinity students agreeing to abstain from sex outside of heterosexual marriage.
For a country that promotes equality, free speech, freedom of association and freedom of expression, we seem to be going too far fighting for rights in Canada. The more rights a group wants in our so called free country, the more fights there are for more rights!!!!
We can never make everyone happy no matter what we do, but do we all need to be unhappy “FIGHTING” to be happy? If a man can legally marry another man, and a lesbian can date another woman while walking by a nativity scene at a local church out in public, why is it sex abstaining law school graduates from British Columbia are not granted access to an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER?
So many fights for so many different rights!!!! Are we going insane? This episode of In The Know surrounds human rights in our country in the “Out of Right, Out of Mind” forum. Margaret Infringupon is a professor of Sociology at Trinity Western University and a human rights advocate. She is here to expose the underlying insanity in our country from all our redundant bickering, constant negativity, and countless money making rants on You Tube only perpetuating our “I AM RIGHT AND YOU ARE WRONG AT ALL COSTS” insanity from COUNTLESS rigid but fragile belief systems that are destroying our planet, AND US 🙁
With an interview that is both hilarious and serious, and a satirical political attack ad no one can actually sue us for here “In The Know”, this because it is currently impossible for ANY political party to sue another party for a REAL attack ad out in the REAL world, you will be asking more questions about fighting for human rights in Canada. Why is there so much fighting for rights in our country if we have an already existing Charter of Rights and Freedoms for Canadians that Justin Trudeau’s father signed in the early 1980’s?
Also, a beautiful parody song ends our “Out of Right, Out of Mind” forum. Enjoy our “CHARTER OF FIGHTS FOR FREEDOMS” eh! 22 Minutes and Rick Mercer, this ones for you 🙂
