CHSR is one of the oldest community radio stations in Atlantic Canada and has the largest music library east of Montreal. CHSR is currently looking for a Music Director to handle the operations of the Music Department at the station.
Typically, Music Directors are buried under a few hundred new CD’s and are responsible for liaising with artists and reps of record labels and other music industry representatives. Other duties include intensive music listening, categorizing, labeling, data entry, and making sure the newest music is available for show hosts.
If you are a passionate music fan and knowledgeable about a wide range of music, are able to communicate and work with lots of different people and have 6-10 hours per week to volunteer with CHSR then this may be the position for you!
Most importantly, the position requires dedication and a willingness to give it your all. The reward is making a difference in the music community and having fun while doing it.
