The Provincial Government announced a new compensation model for healthcare physicians on Thursday that seeks to combat growing wait-lists and make New Brunswick a more attractive destination for doctors.
The new investment, which is a commitment of 18.6 million dollars in funding this year and 20 million next year, surrounds a new provider and patient registry; physicians who maintain their information on the new registry will be compensated using a pay scale that encourages them to take on more patients.
Johnny James reports on what this means for healthcare in the province.
