New Brunswick provincial political leaders, Premier Blaine Higgs (Progressive Conservatives), Susan Holt (Liberals) and David Coon (Greens) made their cases to Fredericton City Council on Monday ahead of next months election. CHSR News – September 11th, 2024 – Harvest Opens With Kulasihkulpa!

Fredericton’s Harvest Music Festival opened last night with a celebration of indigenous music called Kulasihkulpa! which featured Judie Acquin, The Muskrat Singers, Dee Dee Austin and local grass dancers. The opening ceremonies was the festival’s second opening ceremony featuring a heavy spotlight on indigenous artists. Johnny James was at the event and spoke to Wolastoq Grand Chief Ron Tremblay about the significance of the event to the city’s indigenous community.
