The Crew Review
The crew is a new type of game we have never seen before a cpg. Does this game become king of the road or does it fall right in to the ditch? lets find out.
Story: This racing game actually has a bit of a story to it which I did not expect at all so it was a plus. You play as Alex a street racer who got framed for killing his brother by some dirty cops and a gang member called Shiv. After spending a few years in prison you are approached by an FBI agent named Zoe who offers you a chance at redemption by bringing down the 510. So once you are released from prison you begin by doing missions for members in the 510 all across the United States. As you complete the missions you rise up through the ranks of the 510 gang getting closer to the dirty cops and the guy that killed your brother.
Gameplay: This is not your average racing game. You start off with a street racing kit and as you explore the United States you unlock skills. Which you attempt to do and if you complete them you will get a bronze, silver or gold ranking which will unlock a certain part for your car increasing the rank of your car which will help you with races or missions. You can have twenty cars or just one each city you go to has a dealership a tuner and a headquarters for upgrades. There were a few things that did disappoint me with the gameplay experience. The physics with your car was quite disappointing you could not flip your car or really spin out. You always landed on your wheels like a cat always landing on its feet. The other thing that really bugged me was how much the cars were so it took a while to get the money you wanted for your car.
Conclusion: The Crew is a good game to find in a twenty dollar bin. With a cliché story not the greatest physics in the world and bad United States design around you. The game is still fun to play.
Likes: The cars, Open world of United States,
Dislikes: Cliché Story, Bad Physics and Bad design around the car.
Score: 7/10
