CHSR 97.9 FM was first broadcast on January 22nd, 1961 and this year marks our fifty second year on air. As Fredericton’s only campus and community radio, we have endeavored to provide a voice to those people, ideas and groups not frequently heard on mainstream channels.
We pride ourselves on being an eclectic mixture, and our music and spoken word programming certainly shows that! But then again, we do have the biggest music library east of Montreal.
So this January 22nd, tune in to CHSR 97.9 FM for some specialty programming, or maybe even stop by the station in the Student Union Building at 21 Pacey Drive between the hours of 9 am to 7 pm, to get involved, and help us celebrate our birthday!
If you want to bring cake, we’re okay with that too.
