Art plays with our senses, demonstrates a reality not as it is, but as it might be perceived.
During the summer, the Fredericton Arts Alliance brings a pair of artists together in the Barracks to practice their art for all to see. These artists come from a wide variety of disciplines, from painting and sculpture to basket-weaving and writing. As each pair of artists comes in, we’ll be talking to them on the Lunchbox.
My guest today is Rachel Watters, who is demonstrating her experience watercolour painting. This week, she is exploring the difficulties and joys of finding balance in time, energy and inspiration with the demands of a new child. We talked about what watercolours really are (for my benefit), what inspires her painting, and what impact and inspiration she draws from her physical disability.
