Just about everyone likes a good story — some people want to tell them.
It used to be, though, that if it cost money to make stories, you were probably out of luck. And movies cost money to make.
But what if everyone who would appreciate the story gave a little?
That’s one of the successful motivations behind crowd-funding your film project, which my guests today hope is their avenue to make their story. Benjamin Dugdale and Robin Goodine are students in the UNB Production 3 class, and are embarking on bringing their story to reality with the rest of their class. Knots N Prods is their story and their crowdfunding campaign. We talk about where the story came from, what these students hope to achieve, and how you can help them tell stories. Join the IndieGoGo campaign here!
Today also featured the debut of a new Friday segment on The Lunchbox: The Sports Update, with the Sports Editor of The Brunswickan, Rob Trites. This will be a regular segment, giving you insight and updates on all the sports happening around UNB campus and with the UNB teams. Feedback is appreciated!
Music today:
- We began with a tempting number from one of the Shivering Songs festival performer, Michael Feuerstack, called The Devil.
- We all want things, at least Just A Little Bit, which was not really the point of the song by The Julian Taylor Band.
- Determined to do a project just like the Knobs N Prods folks? Do Carry On, which is good advice from Coeur de Pirate.
