Interview with Brian Diamond
One of the producers behind the album EXILE: A Tribute to Supergiant Games. Holding a masters in Computer Games and Professional Development at the University of Arbetay, he’s been involved in audio work for over eight years working on a variety of projects, from game jams and other game development gatherings, to voice over work, to designing audio for various browser games. Over the last three years, he’s worked with MAterial collective as a composer and arranger for the great video game music we all love. Audio designer, voice over artist, and composer all.

Maybe it’s just the smaller venues or a familiar set of faces, but going to events in New Brunswick often feels like you’re coming home.
My guests today are part of the team of organizers behind this year’s Tay Creek Folk Festival. Genevieve MacRae is the Chair of the Organizing Committee, and Eddie Young is the Music Director of this year’s festival. They join me to fill in some of the history of the festival, explain the comfy, “adorable” nature of the weekend event, and talk a little about this year’s great lineup.

The power of the artist is to allow us to translate the ephemeral into the real, often from an outside perspective shared with the audience.
During the summer, the Fredericton Arts Alliance brings a pair of artists together in the Barracks to practice their art for all to see. These artists come from a wide variety of disciplines, from painting and sculpture to basket-weaving and writing. As each pair of artists comes in, we’ll be talking to them on the Lunchbox.
My guest today is Tracy Austin, a fabric artist who specializes in miniature, doll-shaped fashion dresses that are as much sculpture as they are clothing. She joined me to talk about her current series of work based on displaying emotions and the weight of power, and the residency-specific work relating to the theme of trees.
