Posted on 2015-01-31 by the Encaffeinated ONE Posted in CAFFEEN!

CFN 2015-01-31 coverartThere are stories of heroes, who bravely and iconicly take on overwhelming forces of evil and despair and triumph.

They come through hardened and wounded, but learned and strong.

This is not one of those tales.

This is where the bad guys win..

  • From the album Cycle I by The Tacits we heard Nephilim.

The Crazy Train Episode #XXVIII

Posted on 2015-01-26 by Chris Waddell Posted in The Crazy Train

CTlogoA1

Glad to be back after a weeks vacation! Steve ‘The Buzz Man’ Dunnett was out sick, but I did have the guys from local Hard Rock cover band ‘Alter Ego’ drop in hour II to hang out and play some of their requests. The band was playing a gig in the Student Union Buildings downstairs pub ‘The cellar’.

Hour I saw some great music from; The Wasteland Zombies, Chaos Theory, Moment of Inertia (who, all three, are playing the Capital, Saturday Feb 7th 2015). Plus some great pounding Metal from Von Alstyne, Death Valley Driver, Elevate the Virus, Siegebreaker and much more!

Hour II we had ‘Alter Ego’s’ requests which included Megadeth, Motley Crue, Nashville Pussy, Anthrax, Dreamkick, SLAYER and a bunch more! Check out the PODcast for the full crazy show!

I’d like to thank the guys from Alter Ego for taking time out to come hang out!

If you have a Metal band and you have some new recorded material your itching to get out to the masses, please by all means get in touch with us! You can email the show at musicdirectorATchsrfmDOTca or get a hold of us on FaceBook under ‘CHSR Presents: The Crazy Train.

We always appreciate ‘Likes’ on Facebook as well as please spread the word to fellow Metal bands anywhere in the World and also get your fans involved and let them know about the show and the PODcasts, spread the news to all your friends and fans!

In The Know Episode 4

Posted on 2015-01-25 by Joseph Keefe Posted in In The Know

In the Know.jpgEver since Facebook hit our streets in 2003, social media now pervades all areas of culture and pop-culture. Because we have become so immersed in it in such a short amount of time, it seems that the issue of social media has become an uncontrolled experiment on us, and especially, our youth.

In this episode, Clarence Adviceme, a social psychologist is interviewed in the “Investing In Texting” forum In The Know. Both the pros and cons of social media in Canada are brought up with a compelling CBC news article exposing the negative effects on our youth from excess amounts of time on social media devices.

This is yet another hilarious episode that will have you laughing, and questioning: “Where is this uncontrolled experiment on our youth going?” Also, those hilarious commercials I want you to “SEE” on This Hour Has 22 Minutes will have you on the floor laughing, OR TEXTING!!!!

Enjoy, and drive safe, eh!!!!!

In The Know Episode 3

Posted on 2015-01-24 by Joseph Keefe Posted in In The Know

In the Know.jpgDue to “technical difficulties” on my part, LoL, this episode was supposed to be aired on January 23rd, 2015. However, I “came to my senses” and realized I accidentally copied the wrong file to be played. Thanks to CHSR’s program director, Mark Killfoil, episode 4 was played instead, but without Mark, our audience would have not heard anything!!!! Thanks Mark!

This episode deals with the private insurance industry in Canada. Currently, there are no laws in place regulating how much profits are kept by Canada’s insurance brokers, and how many “LEGITIMATE CLAIMS” are approved. A woman named Lisa Coverall is interviewed, her dog, Squidge, was attacked by another bigger dog Alpo. Scamulife financial, the veterinary insurance company she is with denied her claims for damages to her dogs precious pink bow tie and  ears.

This episode will have you in tears, besides the hilarious and unique commercials distinctive to In The Know, a hilarious satire commercial for Scamulife financial that could be on This Hour Has 22 Minutes will have you questioning private insurance companies in Canada, and will have you thinking: do we really need them?

Enjoy, uh!!!!
