The Lunchbox Interview: Lucas & Raine (Sweeney Todd)
Sometimes, when life deals you roughly, all you can do is sing (and plot revenge)…
My guests today are Lucas and Raine, two young actors with the STU Musical Theatre company featuring in the upcoming production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. In the production, they will be playing Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett, respectively. They join me to talk about the challenge of a Sondheim musical, the excitement of creating a new stage experience, and how the orchestra almost ended up as prisoners.
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street opens at STU’s Black Box Theatre on February 19th, and runs nightly at 7:30pm until the 22nd, with a matinee performance on the 22nd as well.

For January, Julie Comeau and Mark spoke to Raymond Housteau, who lived a very healthy life, but nonetheless died of a heart attack for between five and eight minutes.
With considerable luck, Raymond survived the heart attack, and has worked hard since to fully recover and continue to outlive his genetic tendency for the severe illness.
Each month, RealLifeSurvivor profiles a person who has gone through trauma and difficulty and emerged on the other side stronger and with a fuller appreciation of life.
