We all seek to capture the moments of our life, make sense of them. Dennis Reid captures landscapes in oil on canvas to create snapshots of his past, walking around Newfoundland. Peter Gross captures moments in time with his camera, then carefully edits those moments to tell the story he needs them to tell — or that they bring out. Both artists will be showing their captured moments at upcoming exhibitions starting this Friday, November 22 at the UNB Arts Centre, Dennis with a solo exhibition of paintings called Landscapes & Legends, and Peter with the Silverfish photography collective, who challenged themselves to work on the them of Archipelago. Join me and them, along with UNB Arts Centre representative and member of Silverfish Lori Quick as we talk inspiration, art, and capturing the moment.

We talked about the Fred Ross murals and their rediscovery and re-creation, as well as the legacy of 4 generations of photography his family has been involved with.

The married team join myself and Tim Rayne to talk about what it took to make the film, lessons learned and achievements made, and the story that plays out on-screen.
“All The Wrong Reasons” opens Friday, November 15 at 6pm, and is currently scheduled to run until November 21.
