Titanfall 2 Developer says Exsclusivity was never their intention.
In an interview with PlayStation lifestyle at Tokyo Game Show, Joel Emslie of Respawn Entertainment was asked if the sales of the first installment had any effect to move the series multi-platform.
Joel replied with “That decision is one that was out of our hands—the EA decision with Microsoft.” Emslie said. “We would always like these to be multiplatform. The more consumers that can play ’em, the better. It’s not about money. It’s about the audience base, which is important.”
COO Dusty Welch reiterated with “We would have loved to have been with PlayStation from the beginning. But I think Joel made a good point earlier, which is that Titanfall 2 is a really refined, robust, well-balanced game, so we’re excited that the PlayStation audience, seeing it for the first time, is getting an incredible, highly-rated game.”
Titan Fall 2 will swing into action October 28th on PlayStation, Xbox One and PC.
What are critics saying about Fifa 17?
EA sports newest installment of the FIFA series is out today on consoles and PC. What are critics saying about this game lets find out. With some new features like the story driven the journey mode, which seems to be the highlight this year. With some major improovements this year compared to last years installment.
Gamespot: 9/10
“The Journey is engaging enough that it’ll be interesting to see how it’s developed next year, but right now, it’s not the reason to buy FIFA 17. That remains a combination of still-excellent fundamental gameplay (on a par, at least, with Pro Evolution Soccer 2017’s much-improved showing) and Ultimate Team, the game-above-the-game to which PES still has no serious answer. Put together with an improved Career mode and best-in-class presentation, and FIFA 17 is still out in front–even if its lead has been cut this year.” — Nathan Ditum
IGN: 8.4/10
“For all that FIFA promises something for every football fan, from the casual observer to the full-kit fanatic, I still find myself wishing that EA Sports would spend a little more time focusing on the basics. You could probably create the perfect football game by letting Konami handle everything on the pitch, with EA Sports responsible for everything off it. But FIFA plays well enough that the gains elsewhere–in terms of licensing, authenticity, and big-match atmosphere–more than compensate for those shortcomings. For my money, PES is still ahead where it counts most, but The Journey gives FIFA something unique and rewarding. If you can afford it, this year it might just be worth getting both.” — Chris Schilling
Forbes: 8.9/10
“Aside from the missing customization, this is easily the best and most complete FIFA ever. There are other areas with minor issues, but nothing worthy of mentioning in the negatives section. Tightened gameplay, improved visuals and The Journey make this a monumental achievement in the series and it reestablishes the series as the King of the Pitch, yet again.” — Brian Mazique
Game Informer: 8.75/10
“The Journey isn’t the be-all-end-all of FIFA 17. It’s a good start that adds to the game despite its flaws, while the title is anchored by the overall gameplay and other modes. Solving the riddle of how to blend player agency seamlessly with a well-crafted story remains a tantalizing prize, one that will pay off handsomely when attained.” — Matthew Kato

Initial Thoughts on the For Honor Alpha
This past weekend a select few in the gaming community including myself got to experience histories dream battle royal; with an alpha build for Ubisoft’s’ highly anticipated up and coming title, For Honor.
Ubisoft’s take on history-altering warrior battles is a fantastic and fresh idea, but could still use some work. For Honor is essentially Samurais vs Knights vs Vikings, with a complex and strategic combat system. You start off by selecting 1vs1, 2vs2 or 4vs4 game modes, in 1vs1 the objective is simple to destroy your opponent, in 2vs2 team up with a friend and destroy the other team; 4vs4 the objective is to take over bases from the enemy and guard them the first team with 1500 points wins. The mode I enjoyed the most was easily was 1vs1 and 2vs2, unfortunately, I could not play against a friend in the 1vs1 mode which I found was a huge faulty function in this alpha.
The battle system was vastly different from any other game I have ever played before; you start out by holding L2 to lock on to your opponent. You then use your right stick to direct which way you want to block from and attack from, if your opponent matches the way you are attacking from he will then block and deflect the attack opening you up to be attacked. In order to attack in this game you use your R1 button for a light attack and R2 for a heavy attack and Square for guard break, allowing you to throw your opponent into a hole; the matched are out of 5 and with each match the warrior you choose levels up with new battle equipment like weapons and armor.
For Honor was fun to play, but requires some work with regards to its tutorials and being able to play against your friends. Nothing is better in this game though then outsmarting your opponent and chopping off their head with a katana or broadsword. I cannot wait for this game to come out and to play more of it. For Honor is set to come out on February 14th 2017

RFYL Episode: LetsDoAThingEP36
On today’s episode, we play a crapload of music and try to squeeze in as much talking as possible. Sarah and Jake from Bloody Diamonds show up via phone call and tell us all about the Tough Love EP, their songs, and tell me not to ask hard questions. Also, I tell people about albums they need to pick up, screw up my own ending advice, and otherwise just kind of wing it.
This show was definitely scripted and performed before a live audience.
Playlist:
Rockyard – The Chase
Dorothy – After Midnight
Sleep Machine – Wild For You
The Joy Formidable – Blowing Fire
The Pack AD – Error
Bloody Diamonds – Rose Tattoo / Toxic (Go see them live tonight at The Capital Complex!)

Project Cars Review
Project Cars is a game that puts you right in the driver’s seat through a very generic career mode. Slightly Mad Studios brings us Project Cars, a simulator racing game that is the farthest thing away from being fun.
The main attraction is the career mode that turns out to be very bland in all aspects. You start off racing go-karts with a company you sign with at the beginning of your career, as you win races better offers will come from different companies in a new kind of racing. As you progress through the career mode you realize that there is no variety in this game whatsoever: you go into a race to qualify, compete in a sprint race and then the final race of that event, the person with the most points win the event. The only varieties within the game are the cars; the tracks do not change, and lack any setting change. I was hoping to be driving along some nice European mountains, through the inner cities of Japan, but that is not the – it is the same tracks over and over again.
Project Cars is a game that is not worth the time or the headache, it is nothing but a very big bore. With the lack of modes except for the Career mode and lack of tracks Project Cars is not even worth renting.
Project Cars: 3/10
Would not recommend.

The Lunchbox Interview: Julia Ramirez of #IChooseFred
The place where you live and work can be as much an expression of your personality as it can be an element which influences personality. Fredericton is a pretty great place to consider merging with.
My guest today is Julia Ramirez from #IChooseFred, an event designed to entice students to consider staying in Fredericton for their future career by demonstrating the opportunities available from local businesses. The event is brought about through a coalition between Planet Hatch, Ignite Fredericton and the Knowledge Park. On September 29, following a career fair, students will get a chance to network with representatives of local businesses, government agencies and facilitators to discuss what possibilities of staying in the city can be.
