We all eat, but it soon becomes more complicated than that; most often, however, it’s not about food.
My guests today are Emily and Olivia, two 4th-year students in the nursing program at UNB who are working on this year’s edition of the regular group meetings to talk about body issues, exploring the relationship between food, body issues, emotions and lifestyle called It’s Not About Food. They join me to talk about the kinds of discussions they will have at the meetings.
It’s Not About Food starts as a 6-week program meeting either Mondays or Tuesday starting on January 23. To find out more, contact them via email at u3id3@unb.ca, via phone at (506) 260-8672, or on Facebook.

In the middle of winter, we’re going to have cold weather, so why don’t we shiver together?
My guest today is Brendan Magee, one of the organizers of the upcoming arts festival Shivering Songs. We talked about how the festival has grown and run through some of the musical and non-musical events taking place over the 4-day “weekend”.
Shivering Songs starts on Thursday night, January 19, and runs through to Sunday night.

Cable Crusher invaded the studio for a spell on this the 102nd episode of the Crazy Train. The bands been making their mark for about 3 years and are evolving into a tight unit willing to throw down their Punk flavored loudness whenever and wherever they are hailed.
I’ll be away for the next two episode of the show, but fear not!! Usually I’ll just throw on some repeats, but not this time! No no my friends, I’m happy to let you know that over these two shows Rosie’s Juke Joint and Rosie Morning host Roger Jean and our resident Metal reporter Johnny James ‘Dio’ will be filling in for me! I’m sure they’ll have some wicked tracks by entirely different artists than what I normally play! I feel you’ll be in more than capable hands!
Here’s the play list for Episode 102:
Hour I: Crazy Train – Ozzy| H.L.A. – Cable Crusher| Cable Crusher Interview| Rob Ford – Cable Crusher| Fallen Angel – Dream Aria| Sinful Aura – District Avenue| Vampiric Blood – Engage The Threat| Colossus – Tactus| The Catalyst – Rifium| Enter The Dark – Aftershok| Vile – Enemy Designed
Hour II: The Scarab – Kylesa| Schools For Fools – L.S.D. (Life Sex Death)| Breathe – Ministry| Refuse, Resist – Sepultura| I’m With Stupid – Static X| You Can’t Bring Me Down – Suicidal Tendencies| Eulogy – TOOL| Reaping Death – Watain| Soul Crusher – White Zombie| Merge – For Love Not Lisa
Got a show coming up? A new band? A new album or track you want to have played to the masses? Email the crazy train at crazytrainchsr@gmail.com!!
Mention Holly Fox’s Diabolus Templum show, 7-10 PM http://mdu.rocks/pages/MDR/ Sundays!

I’m looking forward to speaking with members of the Fredericton Chapter of Creep Catchers. If you have kids with access to the internet, you may want to tune in tomorrow morning at the 7:30 mark of Rosie Morning for a very important and serious discussion about online safety and what people in our community are doing to protect our children from online predators.

First show of 2017! This show was only an hour long because of the hockey game at 7PM.
I put together what I call ‘Then & Now’, what will be a series of shows (probably on hockey game nights) that will highlight a Metal band that’s been around a long time with a library spanning over the years. We started out with the early albums of bands Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer and then played some of the newest tracks by these bands.
So the next “hockey” weekend we’ll try another round of ‘Then & Now’. But next weekend January 14th, I’ll welcome on my first band of 2017: The mighty Cable Crusher!! It’ll be the guys first appearance on the show, so expect a wild one! Plus music from District Avenue, Engage the Threat, Tactus, Aftershock and much more! 6-8PM!
Here’s the playlist for ‘Then & Now’:
Crazy Train – Ozzy | Star Breaker – Judas Priest | Redeemer of Souls – Judas Priest | Hit the Lights – Metallica | Moth Into Flame – Metallica | The Prisoner – Iron Maiden | Speed of Light – Iron Maiden | Last Rites, Love You To Deth – Megadeth | Dystopia – Megadeth | Black Magic – SLAYER| Implode – SLAYER
And that’s it, short and sweet!
Be sure to tune in next weekend to hear what those crazy bastards from Cable Crusher are up to!
I’ve got plans to have a lot more bands joining me on the show this year as well as trying to keep ya’s all in the loop about the Metal festivals coming up this Summer.
If you’re in a band, got a new album, new single, know of a band, want to promote your band, tell me about an up coming festival or show, then email me at: crazytrainchsrATgmail.com and we’ll certainly get ya’s on the air!
If I don’t play your band, don’t mention your show or festival it’s because I don’t know about it, so be sure to email me the deets!
Keep it METAL!

Hey folks! Welcome to the first episode of 2017! On today’s episode we visited a lot of 2016 releases, talk about what’s coming out this year, and make up a bunch of random crap. Guest 1 is back and ice cream is mentioned, who knows! There’s also a lot of super catchy songs that you need to catch up on, so you should unplug your earholes and enjoy.
Grab the podcast, and wait, there’s more! The Barry Awards are open again, so go vote for your favourite shows / hosts so they can win awards and give awkward speeches. You know you want it to happen.
PS: If you’re wondering about the episode naming conventions, I reset the number every year to 01 just so I can keep track of the year. If you’re actually curious, this is episode 323!
