Random chance is a wonderful thing! With two hosts down for the weather, I (Mark the Encaffeinated ONE) decided to pop in to cover the Lunchbox. At just that time, Dillon Ryan dropped by with his brand-new self-titled CD, Dillon Ryan’s Hindsight. I chatted with Ryan about his view of music, what life as an artist in the Miramichi is like, and how this album came about.

I introduced and contributed to this interview but mainly left it to Shilo Sixx for the interview seeing that he is a bigger fan and far more familiar with the artistry of B.A. Johnston. Here is the YouTube link.

Are you present in the present?
Or are you a ghost, immaterial in the moment, wandering only between the remembered past and projected future?

It was a rather busy week, but rather than completely miss out on an episode, I decided to try recording an off-the-cuff celebration of one of my great loves: theatre!
I’d just come back from watching a production of Hamlet performed outdoors in the park. This production has a unique feature: you only see half the play each time you see it!
Since then, there has been more opportunities to see drama, and they all excite me.
Back to the regular episodes next time.
