The Lunchbox: Interview with Jeremy Demerchant of Permission To Sell
Do you know what you’re selling?
Do you know what it’s worth?
These might seem like obvious questions, but sometimes they are overlooked. My guest today is Jeremy Demerchant, a local Startup Sales Strategist. His company, “Permission To Sell“, works with sales persons and companies to help them realize the answer to those two questions, as well as coaching interactions with customers. We talk about the role and attitude of sales, how to reform the image of sales, and what he does as a sales coach.
And if you’re curious about what he does, he’s offering a bonus download for CHSR listeners: www.PermissionToSell.com/CHSR .
Music today:
- Time ticks on, or so it is suggested by the song Irresistable Future by The Tourist Company, from the album The Space Race.
- A beautiful song about a beautiful moment, it’s Chris Picco (of The Long Distance Runners) with the title song from his album, The Beach.

The Lunchbox 2014-12-02
Hold on to your hats — the weather is about to get significantly more wacky!
To celebrate, I really want to make fritters..
On a more serious note: today is the day to remember that not all people are yet free, that slavery — in various forms, from the literal and brutal to the subtle and economic — still exists in the world. Think about how you can inform yourself and help the world. Give a bit more this Christmas — perhaps outside of your country, let alone your family.
Music today:
- Keegan Dobbelstein, with the song Deck of Cards from the Come Spring EP,
- and Ten Years Ago, from the self-titled album of Shawn William Clarke.
